Default L92 Budget Build questions... Gen 3 Parts Compatibility

I did some searching but didn't have much luck finding a good answer, so I'm going to ask here, please don't crucify me too much.

I picked up a junkyard L92 on the cheap, and I'm looking to get a little more power out of it on as much of a budget as possible. It will be used in a 3000lb drag car with a built TH400 and 3.69:1 gears.

To that end, I have a comp cams gen 3 3-bolt cam and valvespring package that I picked up years ago. I don't remember the specs off the top of my head, but it was in the 224/228 mid-high 500's lift 112LSA range. I'll post up specifics when I get back to the shop.

Edit: Got the cam specs...
228/228 .588/.588 112LSA

It has matched valvespings, but they were for a gen 3 motor with the lighter intake valves, so I'm not sure they'd work in this application.

If I used the TSP VVT delete kit with the 3-bolt cam gear, can I run this cam setup in the L92? I'm sure it isn't optimal for the L92 heads, but it has to be better than the stock cam. If I have to get a different set of intake valve springs, so be it. Does it even matter that the cam has the reluctor on the back end since the TSP setup has the 4PPR reluctor on the cam gear and the sensor on the timing cover?

If it will be a total waste of time, I'll look to sell the whole cam setup and get something else, but I'm big on using what I've already got if I can. I was originally planning on a LQ9/243 head setup with a fast 102 I have, but this motor came at such a good price I decided to change gears.

I'm looking for 450 CRANK HP with 1-7/8" Kooks longtubes and a completely stock LS3 intake/rails/injectors.

I really don't want to pull the heads for any reason if I can avoid it.

Spring PN?
Headers CAI and tune would likely make your goal without the cam

26918-16
Edit: Specs from Comp:
Max Lift: 0.625
Installed load: 125lb @ 1.800
Open load: 367lb @ 1.150
Bind: 1.100
Rate: 372lb/in

I agree, but I'd be RPM limited at the track with no OD... unless 6000RPM is realistic on the stock truck cam.

Maybe I can use these springs with a different cam?

I'm sure you could sell that cam here in the fs section and at the same time pick out the right cam for those heads. Have your springs checked for correct pressure for what you will be rpming . The right cam is everything imo and those heads like different cam specs. They like more duration on the exhaust side. 6500 rpm or more would wake it right up for real cheep. Then a big stall...

I'm sure I could too... and the more research I do I probably will. I'm going to give Mast a call and see what they recommend. The majority of the cams on their site use beehive springs with less seat pressure than what I've got, so if I can get away with just selling this cam and picking up another, that's fine by me.
