Default Whats needed to run a non DOD motor in a DOD vehicle
MY 07 avalanche 5.3 started ticking and Id like to swap in a 6.0L.
The stock 5.3 is a DOD motor and the 6.0 is a NON dod motor. What will I need to swap in the 6.0L

You will need to get into the ECM software and delete the DOD. I think it is a simple as unchecking a box or two. Does it have VVT?
