Default AFM/DOD oil pressure relief valve question

I'm sure this has already been thoroughly addressed here, but I can't seem to find anything on my question. So I'll ask it and if there is a link to it anywhere I would appreciate it.

I have a 5.3 LMG from a 2007 Tahoe. I've had to change the oil pan due to fitment issues. The new pan I got (Mast Motorsport) doesn't seem to have the oil pressure relief valve. My questions is - 1.) Can I safely run the engine without said valve? 2.) Is there some bolt on pressure relief valve I can attach to the oil cooler bungs in the side of the pan?

I dropped a lot money on this pan and really don't want to drill on it. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Wow. No one else has any info on this? I can't have been the first person to encounter this problem.

An option on a stock PAN is blocking the port (full pressure/circulation at all times); I am not sure if this applies to the MAST pan.

On a stock pan (such as an L76 pan) it is bolt thread.
