Default My 2007 Denali is low in oil pressure.

Hi guys,
I got that 2007 Yukon Denali since new and I just love that truck!, it drives so nice and very comfortable and for the 9 years I had it it was dead reliable with about 100K miles in the odometer. I've noticed since a couple of years that it kept running very low in oil pressure when in idle (sometimes it will drop to 6-8 psi in idle when the engine is fully warmed and the outside temp is 100* and more). I have read in many places that most L92 engines have that problem since new!, I really want to avoid rebuilding the whole engine, since its very quite (no clattering noise) and it just sounds healthy. Do you think just replacing the oil pump with a melling high pressure/volume pump would solve that problem? any one else been there?

i'm pretty sure the l92 has that oil pump in it already. it came stock on the VVT engines. can you get a direct reading right at the oil port on the front driver's side of the block?

i've seen more faulty sensors and gauges than actual worn out VVT engines.
