Could I potentially have a problem with the aluminum block expanding from heat and bronze bushing coming loose. Has any one repaired this problem

seems high for one hole. last time I had a block bushed it was ~$700 parts & labor (16 holes)

and no it aint going anywhere. they'll either heat the block or dip the bushing in liquid nitrogen for a press fit. the modern aluminum bronze bushings expand at very similar rates to aluminum blocks.

I found another machinist who can machine all lifter bores for 450, I am calling them again tomorrow about the lifter bores, is there any specific questions to ask machinist before I have them do the work, I have never had lifter bore work.
Thanks

Eh not true, there is special tooling to do this that apparently no machine shops in my area have. Livornis in Michigan is closest ive found.
