Default New LS3 crate long block 19420382

Has anyone else received the new GM 19420382 LS3 430hp long block? I received mine today.

I pre ordered it at the end of November. I plan on dropping it into a 1955 BelAir 2dr hard top.

The production date is 11/19/20 and it looks like it was the 33rd one off of the line.

It has a 98-02 Camaro oil pan and all of the sensors. Ls3 heads and a harmonic balancer. No intake or exhaust manifolds, no coil packs, no flex plate, no water pump.

This seems like a great platform for a street rod engine. I plan on using FiTech Ultimate LS system on it using a factory Corvette intake manifold instead of the fabricated intake.

Hopefully the FiTech fuel rails and injectors will work on he Factory intake.

Only 5k seems like a deal for the price, I may have to consider this for my next build.

I was thinking of grabbing one of these if they have any left once profit sharing rolls around. I was hoping no body would stumble upon these. Please delete thread. LOL

then you have to purchase heads etc for a replacement motor its a hell of a deal. If your building a motor for a purpose, I agree with a built short block. If my motor went today in my c6 i would use this in a heartbeat <---- see what i did there lol

I hope it works out well for you. A buddy of mine installed it on his and that didn't work out well. Anecdotal, but still.

The Terminator X is bad ***. This makes me wish I waited before buying my VVT harness and ECM w/ a reflash . Only thing I wish for on the Terminator X is dual oxy sensors . The learning function is great. Just re-cam your ride, change cam spec section in the software and start her up

I do believe these come with the light weight valves. The L92 style is a reference to the rectangle intake port design. The long block is listed as having 12629063 cylinder heads. Chevrolet's description of the heads is below.

LS3 Cylinder Head Assembly

P/N 12629063

  • Aluminum performance head
  • Fits any LS family engine with 4.000″ bore or larger
  • 2.165″ hollow stem intake, and 1.590″ solid stem exhaust valves
  • .550″ max valve lift
  • As-cast L92 style intake ports
  • D-shaped exhaust ports
  • As-cast combustion chambers
