Rebuilt motor sitting for 3 years. Concerns?
Hey y'all. I had a ly5 (GM gen 4 5.3 iron block) rebuilt 3 years about. Bearings, rings, honed, surfaced for true and it has been sitting since. I hope to fire it up in the next month or 3. Is there anything I should be concerned something like rust? If so, what are my options? Thanks

Where was it kept, and how was it protected?

In a garage on cradle then in cars engine bay. The engine was stored complete after rebuild minus headers but ports were taped. Also minus front accessories till they were added.

Million yr ole trick..... Little oil/lube in on the piston thru the spark plugs. Turn the crank.
Continue with your build.
