Default Cam swap - Lifter doesn't want to stay "up" for removal

I am ready to remove the cam on my 2011 5.3. Heads and intake are still on so I want to make sure the lifters stay in the up position. I installed a 24" 5/16" wood dowel into the front oil passages of each lifter bank. It went in snug on either side. When I rotate the cam by hand......all the lifters stay up but 1 on #6 cyl. The push rod sinks down slightly when the cam rotates past the top of the lobe. Is this OK? Or am I going to lose the lifter when the cam comes out??

Thanks for the help!

Get small pen magnets, pull pushrod out, insert magnet to hold lifter up if there is doubt.

Far from a dumb question.... But kinda get creative, tape it up, tape a **** at the end so it does not slip threw. If it actually has a pocket bracket just bend the tab at a 90 degree angle ect.
