Anyone know if the LSR block has the same sleeve length as the Darton and RHS blocks to allow for more piston support at the bottom?

so far, it seems that Darton sleeved LS 454 > RHS 454

From the pictures, you can see that the sleeves are down, similar to the Darton sleeves. I have been researching the sleeves in this block, trying to figure out material, to no avail.
I might "be your huckleberry" and order one. There will always be another build. Cheaper than going sleeved GM, after you figure in billet main caps...

From LSX Magazine:

"The block itself is cast from a proprietary 356 T6 aluminum ingot and features spun ductile iron sleeves—again adding to the overall strength and ridgity. "

Well there you go. This is exceptional value...if it actually works.

When I emailed the guy at Concept the sleeves were 5.87 in length in the key areas which is similar to the RHS one. He also indicated that a 4.185 bore the steel sleeve is .067 thick and that there was still around .250 aluminum behind it in the non-siamesed areas. They now offer tall decks.

Darton's info sheet says their sleeves are 5.85" +/- .02" long.

So... LSR might be the best of both worlds. Good thing I won't be in the market for the new motor for a few years... there should be some more info on the LSR by then.
