So what's your point. You made 680hp or something like that go look back I told you that. So again what's your point I didn't honestly follow your build closely. Not hating just saying what's your point.

Ls3 heads are just that a low laying runner cylinder head. A Ls7 casting no matter who's casting with a good head porter will always be better.
That's the point you wanted to get to I have Ls3 heads also from the factory that do pretty well.

If you buy a set of heads just have the CSA to match your given RPM and engine bore/stroke combination that's all you can ask for with any head. That's what cost. Cause 1 size doesn't fit all. That's why I didn't get a better casting. Darin and Mast would have cost around $3500.

No get a smaller cc head or bare casting Ls7 and pay for work, the runner size and location is the thing. My Ls3 heads are 267 cc but look at how tall the run is as the width is the same it's low and tall. Now my Ls7 heads come in at over 270 cc but the runner is higher and the bottom of the runner is higher. The CSA is TINY in comparison. They were made for bottom end and a little rpm 8k-ish my intake valve at 2.20 is huge but the exhaust is the valve that's Nearest to the cylinder wall as far as shrouding. It's like selling homes: Location Location Location. That how heads work runner Location and valve placement. You have the best in Mast Ls3 heads. You can't change where the intake manifold sits with a particular head runner Location. ER did the same thing with the 435 Lq4 Ls7 headed EMC build with a .065 bore but with 2.20/1.60 valves.
If you say FRH heads have a CSA of 2.8 these would be 2.2's LOL!

Your the man Blk00ss. I was playing online and still playing, trying to type. It may have a few run on sentences. As long as you get the point it looks better so you can understand. Is that better for you still hope you get that time your wanting what I said at first still holds true. All you needed was a carb intake and a solid roller on TFS heads and add RPM. Ask me how do I know? Mr damn Coleman has the same basic build without NOS and less weight. He had 1 time used pistons and rods just from a dyno session for 1k about 4 months ago.

There's a reason I take notes. Went over to one of my folders in email. Need to go correct that one post.
FRH stage 1 heads:
Runner Height 6.7 cm
Runner Width 3.6 cm
Bottom runner to deck of the heads is 3.2 cm low runner Location
Ls7 heads
Runner Height 6.1 cm
Runner Width 3.5 cm
Bottom runner to deck of heads is 4.4 cm & higher runner Location. Measures 4.1 cm after milling. I have a spare that's not milled. There only 3 dollars each LOL.
1.2 cm or 12 mm difference from where the runner base starts.
