I'm looking at replacing my rocker arms with roller tip, question is most roller rockers are 1.8 and I'm not yet planing a motor build so they will be used with stock cam and VVT until down the road. Any thoughts on if a 1.8 will cause VTP contact?

They likely won't cause contact but you may need springs to use 1.8s. You'll have to check that.

Whose roller tip rockers do you plan to use? TSP has 1.7 roller tip rockers.

I think I have a set of those on back order with jegs but it's been a month and no ETA. Looking for another set or if 1.8s work on a stock Vvt setup could be beneficial if and when I do build the motor

Call TSP and see what they have to say about it.

With the stock cam you'll be fine.......nowhere near having valve-to-piston clearance issues.
