I've been really happy with mine. It helps tame the idle a bit too so you can tolerate a bit more cam. I have not yet confirmed the power upgrade on the dyno, but it's been a year, so it would need a new baseline. SOTP, I'd guess net 15 hp. About as much as the EWP was worth. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure I'd mess with it.

Default Injector Location

Hi TVR, I too like to reduce Pumping Losses.

I would fit the injector into the Bell Mouth (top feed).

The T-FUEL will be reduced a vast amount !

Problem is packaging it, it’s got to have filters over the top, I’ll use a base plate and a cage.

The pistons, which were meant to work out 3 grams lighter, actually weigh in at 2.19grams heavier, wrist pin is way thicker as it’s a heavier specced item, I could get it machined out to match.

Block is in to be Bored out, i've asked for the tighter side of the tolerance, its never going to be power added, so i'd like it to use less oil and be quiet.
Bit of port matching today, it has yet to be cartridge rolled yet but its all lining up nicely..

Are you mentioning this to avoid re balancing your rotating assembly?

Yes, it was balanced the last time i changed rods and pistons, so more grinding and or drilling, plus the cost.

since oil weight is a guesstimate; a few grams ain't nothing to worry about

I’ve cleaned and flicked in some paint on the chassis, it’s been 11 years since it was powder coated, it’s still as solid but had yellow’d with heat on the top rails, block should be ready for collection tomorrow, hopefully build on Sunday..

Back from the machine shop, All the bore damage has cleaned up.

Its been machined to .0025"

Cam Card, this actually has more overlap, but less duration than the old cam, so going to be interesting with the new AFR 245 heads..

Short block built, 419ci managed to get rod and pistons weighing In to 0.77grams from heaviest to lightest, by matching heaviest and lightest components, a bit **** but doesn’t cost anything!

Got the head gaskets sent through and they were 4.100 not 4.200 that i ordered, I have had to send those back, luckily a UK supplier, new rear crank seal was damaged too..
Hoping to get the engine built and back in this Saturday, i cant fit the engine in with heads on, that has to be done with the engine in situ.
Then i can see what pushrods we need.

Nice job on the balancing work. Those details add up and only cost you time

It’s in the hole, lost a couple of hours having to nick some clearance for the stock LS7 clutch, it sits further out than the monster clutch I have taken out, that juddered like mad in traffic, drove me nuts!

WIth all this money going into this, why not buy or make a engine leveler to aid in installation?

Its a very extreme angle that it has to go in on, i have tried those things before, and they dont have the range.
Also because the engine is so far back in the chassis you have to have two bites at it, its not that difficult anyway.

Could you post your Bob Weight sheet ?
