I removed the plugs, removed fuel pump relay and unplugged the coils. I cranked it 3-5 seconds about 8 times before I saw any movement on the oil pressure gauge. The crank after that got me to 40-50psi. Put everything back together and fired it up. I did H/C and other various stuff to the motor as well as a new ported LS6 pump. Does take some times this way though

use this port with a nice big turkey baster to pump the oil in it....keep filling until oil comes out. ...then cap it and pull the power to the fuel and spark and crank the starter til you see pressure. ..best to use a mechanical oil pressure Guage. ..once you see pressure building. ..plug it all back in and fire away
