Default Ls3 cam for street rod

Hey all. Looking for cam recommendations for my 54 Chevy truck street rod. Stock LS3 (headers) with a 6l80e and stock converter. More than anything I'm looking for that Muscle car lope and of course some extra hp is always nice. Considering an intake also, primarily for looks. I understand the factory intake is hard to beat on the street but its hard to look at too. I love the look of the sheetmetal intakes.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

Try the High Lift Hot Cam from WS6store. Good sound, good power which will be LOST with a sheet metal intake.

Seems that something around a 225 int duration is a good place to start?

That would still be a good streetable cam, though it will lose some low end flexibility compared to the High Lift Hot Cam, plus it will lope a little harder.

With the factory converter, youre kinda limited. the 220s intake range is ok, but youre losing a little down low and can feel sluggish to start.
Our high lift hot cam like G said would be a great option with great sound too and on a very good budget.

I just listened to the Hot cam above at the link on your info page. It does sound really nice! That exhaust has a nice note too!
