We’ll it’s a friend of mines truck so not to sure how I would feel about telling him to try that, the ticking does come and go though so might be trash in one of the lifters. The DoD has been tuned out already and the truck has 280,000 miles, not sure if that matters though lol.
The reason I say valvespring, cam gear, and timing cover swap is because if he has a pay for a cam there’s no way he’s gonna go back with a stock profile.

Also it may not even have VVT since it’s an 07 I haven’t checked yet
