I gave you a ET. Nothing your saying or doing is specal. You want a build thread with intakes used vs your Mamo stuff ok... I was hoping you'd say that. Porters i've used. All under 440 ci and 12.5 compression 7500 rpm peak both. Again nothing special on pump no e85 needed. With big ports! Over 280cc ha ha. You guy's want to make a record for what, the most rwhp that Will Never get used on the street & street racing is against the law. It's a street car so a fast et is out as it's not a race car. You need to get out and look around mamo ain't the only head porter or builder just the most typed and used here. Keep your tq that honestty most times Can't even be used. We are not towing boat either so keep it. Some know how to gear a car and give those higher dollar heads what they want. Which is good clean air in abundance.

I get you like being able to lay rubber down in 4th gear.

Not on a roll, just tired of the dyno hype with lack luster stuff with bigger engines and high compression with a fast or msd intake and called street because of a lower rpm point of 7000 to 7500.

No just a guy who's aked questions. I understand intake choices are limited for lower profiles intakes, i truely do. But facts are facts, these higher flowing heads can use all the AIR they can get (no matter intake choice) and feel your basically kinda shooting yourself in the foot if flow is hindered. When i know for a FACT that there are Ls intakes that can be port-matched being only off 8 cfm to matching what the heads can offer. So what now? We know what's offered and know what's needed? You can work metal.

I'm sorry ... For my train of thought of meeting the needs asked, and they like to say i got over 400 cfm yet a 370 cfm intake is used. I'm wrong, for thinking and knowing a sniper can be worker Further for more. Price is cheap and know the Labor needed so ask a question and you'll get a answer and quote. OTB porting isn't enough with most low profile intakes... You either accept what's made or sold. Or you of how to defeat a problem if it's cost efficient. We know what the fully loaded plastic intakes cost and offer. If not offered what's needed, find the person who does. Rule # 1

I'll look at the links u posted later, I about fell out of my char when u said mamo is the most popular porter on this site......wouldn't mind knowing where you got that data from.

about the rpm comment for a street car, I didn't know that i should spin to 8000. Guess I'm doing it wrong

All you have to do I say, yea I understand why it's smart for a street car build to not worry about a metal intake since they will very rarely be in the rpm range to benefit, and agree that they will always be in the low to mid range and the plastic intake will help boost those numbers. Say that and this conversation ends

Floorman, just stop replying and he will go away. I wasn’t aware that most guys on here used Mamo either?! That made me laugh out loud. More like 2%ish. More guys over on CF use him than here, but those corvette guys have all the money. Smokey isn’t ever going to see street car in this discussion...ever. Did you know that street racing is against the law? Smokey said it is...there goes my weekend!!!LOL!!!!!

As I said those metal intakes are useless for the street.
They will most likely make your car slower too due to the big losses of low and mid range torque.
You also lose some high end torque but gain only hp.
Stop trying to defend those metal intakes by trying to say that peak higher.
It's a pointless exercise

I may be going about it the wrong way. But i know for a fact more air, plenum, tb size can only help with these plastic restrictor plate intakes. When we can introduce more air and fuel to any engine it will generally make more hp no matter the runner length. So if you ported a MSD or FAST intake and my high dollar heads lose 10% flow we got a problem, i'm not willing to accept. Let me know when any Ls engine uses a Fast or MSD intake for Avg numbers for the EMC. With typical rpm ranges from 6500 to 7500 for the street competition. I understand what's being said. Just want people to stop accepting Limitations and do what the ole timers use to do. Out think the problem & gett'er done. Nothing but luv.
