Head gasket left a ring imprint on head?
I don't remember seeing this before, but maybe I wasn't looking for it. Fresh set of heads, new Cometic gasket, freshly decked block.
Had to pull heads to check something and noticed this ring imprinted into the cylinder head. Still haven't run it, just torqued it to spec using ARP studs.
Is this normal? Is it going to cause any issues installing the heads with a new gasket?

Run it. SS is harder than the aluminum head, so under torqueing would leave an inconsequential imprint.

As close as they fit it should fall back in the groove, but if not will make a new one. I would bet it doesn't even, or barely, catch your finger nail. It looks worse than it is.

Called Trickflow and Brian Tooley Racing, they pretty much echo'd what gatsma said above,
No issue, it's normal for that to happen, stainless gasket is harder than an aluminum head. It will leave a little imprint/indentation. It should fall right back into the same grove on reassembly, if not, it will just make a slightly different groove and seal up just the same.
