Turning those distributors is costing HP. Coil on plug would be better, unless rules prevent that from happening.

62nalide 07-05-2019 03:08 PM

Class rules are limiting what this can do

Gotcha.

Impressive delta between the other heads. Should be interesting to get some details. Was this they were equal until 6,000 rpm etc.

cdubbzz 07-05-2019 08:55 PM

Anything north of 2HP per CI is doing something

Nice. That some crazy power for only 7200rpms. You would think they needed high 7000's at the least to reach those numbers.

rkupon1 07-06-2019 07:16 AM

Wow, thats awesome. What was CR and fuel being used? More details please

Making some HP’s!

Chris and those damn 5.9 inch long valves....Why to go Guys 2 all Involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KCS 07-07-2019 11:09 AM

1.72ft-lbs per cube seems a little unrealistic.

That’s a fair bit higher than me yet but maybe they have nasty compression

Smokey B 07-07-2019 11:37 AM

They do. It's seems to be a modern outlaw series based engine. Very simple idea that can be carried over 4 street purposes.

Smokey B 07-07-2019 11:41 AM

The point is Chris is KICKING ASS!!!!!
Really raised runner = C5r high ports with c5r length Valves in a Ls7 head. FACT!
vs anything Available.

my next goal will be this type of head.

The power isn’t surprising, but at only 7200 rpm doesn’t seem possible. Very impressive regardless with the gains over other combos.

Smokey B 07-07-2019 11:51 AM

valve length says alot with a 10degree valve angle

Black Nitride Coated Stainless Steel Intake Valves 2.250 / 5.675" (Hydraulic)

Black Nitride Coated Stainless Steel Intake Valves 2.250 / 5.875" (Solid Roller)

Smokey B 07-07-2019 11:53 AM

Spanks think of or look up baldwins outlaw series 440....= 900hp 14+ compression

Your next goal should be to actually get your engine running.

I don't think it's that simple. I don't know what they're at now, but NHRA Pro Stock wasn't even that high as of a few years ago. These LS dirt engines don't even have a dry sump.

JakeFusion 07-07-2019 03:22 PM

Wonder what the compression and cam look like. I would say 15:1+ and probably something in the solid roller 280-300 @.050" range with a very tight LSA to keep the engines from revving to 8000+...
