Default 427 N/A 60mm Cam Tunnel

Getting ready to order a Dart LS Next block, with a 60mm cam tunnel. This is going to be a 427 14.5:1CR Solid Roller setup. Now Has anyone played with something similar using a cam core that big? This is going to be track use only. Shooting for max effort N/A

Need more info. Your reasons for needing the 60mm and most important max effort means different things to different people. Max effort on a 25k budget is a very different engine than max effort on a 100K+ budget . What heads and intake are you thinking and what rpm ect?

What type of track? Drag strip? If it is a drag only engine, might want to check this out:

We run them on raised cam blocks. You will need to check clearance depending on how much stroke you run.

Hell-bents said it <....main reason for a 60mm is for stability with higher rpm and big lift cams & springs. If lifts under 900 or so lift and below 9000 rpm, not worth $ & machine work. For the general public. <

Jesel and big diameter lifters go hand in hand with a 60mm core.

Mucho lift wanted. Heads look like a copy of Edelbrock or Mozez / Dart heads just billet...
If they showed runner placement could tell which.

Can't wait 2 C the intake and TB/carb system.

Here's a simple and nice system I saw on EnginePower. Same Hp as a Carb with EFI tune ability.

I'm giving my self a 30-40k budget. I have a set of the Frankenstein F710 LS7 heads with Ti intake and exhaust valves. Jesel 1.8 shaft rockers . Key weigh lifters and shooting for 9500rpms with a Daileys dry sump setup.

I would want larger dia lifters with offset pushrod seats to get the pushrods as straight as possible. Check rod to cam clearance before final assembly. Looks like you have good a start
