LS3 Stroker 416 I figured I would post my build and see if anyone has any thoughts or future upgrades. This is for a BMW. The plan is some time trials, autocross, and weekend driving. The thought process around this build is reliability. Started as an LS3 long block.
Bore - 4.070"
Stroke - 4"
Callie's 8 CW crank - Fairly new offering in the forged area, but 8 CW is more common with billet cranks
Scat 6.125 CR
Custom pistons - Erik Koenig is designing these. Shelf-stock pistons are a bit heavy. We are trying to get the bob weight down
Johnson Lifters w/ tie bars
Comp Cams Shaft Rocker System
Heads - Stock LS3
Intake - Stock LS3
We aren't to the portion of cam specs yet. I had a TSP stage 2 in my LS3 that seemed to run really nice. Drive-ability was good with good mid-range. I am purposefully staying stock heads/intake to keep the price down with something I can upgrade later down the road.

How much heavier is the 8CW crank vs the normal one?
Stock heads can make great power. Get a rod mod and ported LS3 intake from GPI. You can recoup the cost if you ever sell it, or find one for sale used.

I have JE shelf pistons in my 416 with a 3cc dome to achieve 13:1 static, they weigh 420 grams, the Scat Qlite H beams weigh 570, total Bob weight 1651. I’ve seen lighter than that in a 416.

I calculated 1584g as well, but maybe they added 5 grams for oil? Not too much of a concern though, getting that precise on your balance is very difficult. 5 grams is about .176 oz.
Just realized 5g was already added for oil as Che70velle mentioned.
