LS7 lifters?
I see alot of lifters advertised as LS7 spec, some even using the same part#. Who is a good outlet for LS7 lifters or an alternative to them that is budget minded. thanks L96 VVT delete

Brian Tooley Racing, Texas Speed or one of the other vendors that sponsor this website. Last time I checked, OEM LS7 lifters were $290. If it's much cheaper than that, they probably aren't OEM LS7 lifters.
As far as budget minded alternatives, I can't offer advice there, I ended up going with a set of Johnson lifters, which is a different company than Hylift-Johnson by the way.

I would stay away from ls7 lifters especially with aftermarket valvetrain parts and high rpm use. Go with Morels or Johnsons. I went with johnson 2110 drop ins they are over $400 but much better quality. For me it was a no brainer vs the chance of having another ls7 lifter failure and having to redo the job.

LS7 lifters were never designed to withstand the more aggressive ramp rates and higher spring pressures associated with aftermarket camshafts.
They are rated to 380lb of max spring pressure and up to 6800rpm.
Sure they will work initially but it's only a matter of time before they start to fail.
I would not risk it on an engine being driven hard and at a higher RPM.
The Johnsons are a great lifter to use with much tighter internal tolerances.
