That block has stock GM LS7 sleeves in it. Max. overbore on the stock sleeve is .015" or 4.140" bore. I attached a photo of a stock LS7 sleeve.

Would it be decent for a cruising type project car with a mild cam , low hp? I guess it’s the cyl pressure, detonation and piston trying to slap around that could crack the sleeves?

Yeah bore measure will dictate next steps. Worst case what’s the core block worth? And the crank?

Steve, thank you again so much for chiming in. The bore measure came out at 4.150 on all 8. So a measly 0.010 too much per your recommendations. Really puts it in the core basket, building it up only to crack a cylinder wall would be really unwise use of $$.

After reviewing carefully, rebuild is really attractive with respect to making a sleeved motor with the 4.150 bore and completely refreshed heads, but I currently can't devote the time to it. Therefore selling.
Appreciate all of you who read and shared from your wealth of knowledge, how awesome is that. Thank you.
To wrap it up: At the bottom is a photo of the car that this motor was planned to go into. It has a 330rwhp stock LS1 now, still moves at 2350 lbs but definitely going for 550-600. Street legal with a sequential Mendeola to go with the power bump.
