Camshaft might add a little decibel increase at the tips, but if you leave the exhaust alone, it shouldn’t be much louder at all with just a cam change.

I do strange things like that sometimes.

I'm also known to ask more information when trying to help diagnose a problem instead of the internet blaming the tuner, wrong cam, has the wrong intake, the AFR was not a perfect 12.8 the entire pull, etc etc.

Most of the time I'm just a dick because the ignorance level on here makes me homicidal.

You are not alone. Just love the hate when I suggest undersizing a cam or turbo, or not using a 10lb clutch....and then months later get a post or pm thanking me from the OP....all while everyone else said it was dumb

Well now, it's just not manly to even suggest a wimpy baby cam... when you can have a dog-crapping-peach-seeds shaker of a beast with the soggiest bottom end east of San Fran! Come ON now....

lol...I’ve honestly never flycut pistons before. The only radical cams I’ve run have been in forged motors with valve reliefs. Heck I run a more aggressive cam in my Procharger combo than many guys here run in their NA combo. It’s custom from cam motion, but close to this one.

It gets worse as you get older. I found my tolerance for individual or organizational stupidity had evaporated, so I retired.

Now I only have to deal with my own stupidity. 🙂

the only reason I had to was because the old TEA 5.3 heads I have, they dropped the intake valve down .100 which killed PTV. I figured if I'm going to have to cut the pistons, I'm going to mill the heads too.

Damn, 32 posts and how much help with the OP's cam question? Was the question too tough? After reading the original post, does it matter what transmission he's running, what budget he has? He explained what he's after. I'm guessing he's not running for $'s.

Just messin' with you guys that know more than me. Hope y'all are having a good weekend! Post #33 wasn't much help either....was it?

Classic Tech! Some guys here just to talk. Waste a lot of time building post counts. It gets worse literally weekly. Lost a good mod recently, he can’t take it anymore. Makes you wonder how much longer this site is around. There’s way better tech related sites out there that are managed well and keep the stupid bull crap away. Ok rant over…

All in part because this site tolerated a hand full of tools for too long that drove members and sponsors away.
