It's a 🖕"ing rock crawler. Besides that you get what you pay for? 4150 and future upgrades Vs buying a 4500 the 1st time. Or like with the Super Vic your in spitting distance once you get fuel rails? Or the fact of Every intake can use porting. With Porting it's still a 👎

I will also say this the guy saying driveability with a 4150 vs the 4500 on the street Hasn't own one or asked a owner the difference of with a good cam and tune .....

With a Bonus of Hp.

I know..... not going to get any help besides " what I always wanted? Being able to ask the Best MFers in the Business any question and get multiple opinions....Generally they'll all be the same.

Na hp gains aren't seen in Big numbers like Forced Induction. But if Hp and Tq is seen throughout the rpm band why not and it's a better Induction system... There was no Loss of.

Yeah I need help....Figure I'll go to the grave Needing help. As long as I got what i said I always wanted I'm good.

Wink Wink...

Cost analysis time... CID is said to be better than Mast and Holley split is said to be better than Super Vic 4150.
Porting is Extra $$$.oo

C'mon, guys. We should all be here to discuss things logically, and rationally. That's what this forum is all about, helping each other, not to degenerate into name calling and insults. If a question is asked in all honesty, no question is dumb, or stupid. We were all born ignorant, adding knowledge as we go. In my case, I've gone far enough that I'm starting to forget some of the knowledge I picked up, lol 😆 😅

I ended up going with a Holley split 4150 intake and 4150 TB due to the lower height of it compared to the CID intake . I know I could make more power with the 4500 CID and a 4500 TB, however the 10-20 HP gain doesn't justify the lose of visibility from the drivers seat (This has me thinking about running a dry sump on the next motor for the buggy). Thanks everyone for chiming in, anything at this point was a setup from the mockup China sheet metal intake.

One needs to understand that it IS possible to have a head and/or throttle body that is too big and will impact drivability, rpm recovery, etc. Application is everything!

BTW - Awesome ride OP. Should work well with your selection.

Will do, I know the numbers won't look great because we will dyno with the 43"s so who knows how much will be lost in the drivetrain. I'm running a coan th400 and a straight drive scs 3to1 transfer case.

Rpm drop because of intake, Driveability of, etc is and was BS. A engine combination is the sum of all parts not just a intake and tb

Launch has a 4500 on a street car with a smaller engine.
I know the same idiots looked crazy when the Mamo ported intake "super Vic" was read.

Glad you picked the intake you needed based on the overall thought process.

You know he’s right. You always jump straight to building someone a top fuel engine. Chill out some. Not everyone here, including myself, is looking for max effort.

You've obviously never driven a 4.8 or 5.3 with a 105mm throttle body, its touchier than say an 80mm. I ran a 4150 on my engine for the same reason, it works perfectly fine and can support more power than the bottom end can hold. In another thread you claimed a .750 lift cam would drive just like a .550 lift cam, it seems you have lots of ideas but not much practical experience and as soon as anyone disagrees with your ideas you resort to name calling and calling them liars. The only one who brought up a mamo super vic was you, nobody else suggested such a thing so perhaps it's only you that looks crazy.

Egg. Sack. Lee.
He claims he’s right because that’s what the top 1% told him. I have spoken with one of his top 1%ers recently and he claims that he’s never spoke to Andre on the phone or in person. Ever.
So even if he’s actually talked with the other few guys, any chance they would lie to him? I mean…every top engine builder in the country gives out their secrets over the phone to total strangers, right?
