Arp 23 bolt head stud problem Dart block and Frankenstein heads
Started a new ls7 build. Dart ls next pro block and Frankenstein f710 heads. I purchased Arp 23 bolt head stud kit from Dart. I install the studs in block no problem. Install the 4 studs in the bottom of head no problem. Mated the 2 together then start the torque sequence no problem. Once I got to the last 4 studs to torque which is the studs that's in the bottom of the head. I noticed a couldn't put the washer on. I could barely put the nut on the stud using 2 fingers. The location of the nuts and studs is in the lifter tray area. There is no way I can get a torque wrench, socket or regular wrench around the bolt to tighten it. At best I may be able to use vise grip pliers to tighten it. Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a fix? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thank in advance!!

Launching!
grinding down the box end of a wrench was the only way i could get anything on them and be able to tighten them up. didnt really worry about torque

Its almost like and allen head bolt would be a better idea. The tool above KCS looks good. That being said I also have seen ARP makes a nut that is even smaller but not sure what threads you have there. I used it on some carb studs I had where the normal was say 7/16 12 point and they made 3/8 12 point for a 5/16 bolt.

If they are 3/8 studs for a 6 bolt head kit arp(btr kit) they come with a thick washer for the bottom of the heads/and a thinner washer for the lifter valley. get you a 3/8 wrench and grind it down(the box end )use the open end to install 3/8 torque wrench in. and when using the torque wrench make sure you are using the right way.were your tightening upwards /flip the torque wrench over to make it tighten Clockwise .hope this helps
