Gen 3 head bolts Gen 4 block Ok so went to install the heads on my LC9 5.3
The felpro head bolt kit I was sent is for a Gen 3 and has 2 short bolts in it. Can they be used on my Gen 4 motor or do I need the Gen 4 bolts?

If you have the set with mostly longer bolts and 2 short bolts per head, those are for EARLY Gen III only.
You need a set of all short bolts for late Gen III/Gen IV.
You need a set of all short bolts for late Gen III/Gen IV.

The changeover was in around 03 or 04. Wasn't quite "all at once".
LC9 is later, so will use the later style, where they're all the same length. As long as that's what you got this time you should be good to go.
