Default LS2 TB...is it 90mm all the way? No lip or anything?

Just curious to see if there is some design plan that GM follows, or if they did away with that on the LS2.

They all come stock with a lip it helps in low speed driving.

The lip helps tremendously with low speed drivability.

Is the purpose of the lip to keep light throttle from allowing too much air in?

The lip is there so that at low throttle blade angles there is less air flow. After about 20 degrees of blade opening, the lip has no effect. The reason aftermarket TB have no lip is that its a lot harder to make the TB with the lip.
