I hope I don't meet one of those things at a stop light.

I heard rumor they would be around $75,000.

That is a bad *** car. Whew !

I'm figuring the Z06 will be in the $60-70,000 range. If its under $60,000 it will be the best bang for the buck....ever. I can't wait to see the comparisons to the Ford GT, that will be more than twice the price of the Z06. I think the Z06 will give the GT all it wants.

up until like a few months ago, the z06 WAS a 6.4L, they had to change it at the last minute due to a rule change in racing

Since when did rule changes in racing apply to street cars?

I think the real reason why it's 7.0L is because it was much easier for GM to hit their 500 hp bogey and still stay within emissions parameters.

I don't know about anyone else but right now I'm trying to figure out a good reason to tell my wife I need to trade my 02 zo6 with only 3k miles for an 06 Z06.

ummm...even C&D has testedthe normal C6 to 186, so the Z06 won't top 200? That's kind of weak...seriously!

Racing rule changes DO apply to street cars when the car in question needs to meet certain homologation certifications in order to qualify for a particular series/sanction etc, though not sure if that actually is the case here.
I too believe it was simply easier for them to do with 7.0L than it was with 6.4L...either way it totally ROCKS.

Thats not weak, that is gearing. The same reason a c5 will hit higher top speeds then a c5 z06.
