Need some closur (Z06) Well i have been aruguing with a ford person that the Z06 is faster than the GT. ive, shown him track times, price, and other specs on both cars. but he still thins the GT is over the better faster car. what I need is some hard evidence that the Z06 is faster than the GT. anything would be great.

I'm not sure why you would be arguing about that unless one of you didn't know what you were talking about.
I think the Z edges the GT in the 1/4, but the GT has a better top speed.

I think its pretty damn close between the two performance wise. id basically shop him the msrp's for the two and ask him why the GT doesnt performe twice as well as the C6 Z06 when its more than twice as expensive lol.
Well if your goin for an all out race car then the GT is the way to go, but if you want more comfort with just about as much performance as the GT for about 2 times less money (as most Gt's have been goin for 175K+) then the Z06 is by far the way to go.

Its all bench racing I guess guys, but I did see a stock dyno graph of a GT a while back...Pretty darn impressive. More than enough to make upp for the 400# of weight diff. Dont get me wrong, I think the vette is a better car (99/100ths of the GT) & softer ride.

You guys that think the Ford GT will corner with a Z06 are misinformed. The ford is 400 lbs heavier and the tire size is about equal. That is all you need to know. My 02 zo6 will out corner the ford with equal tires. The fast cornering cars are always the lightest. The mosler weighs 2000 lbs and outcorners every production Ferrari in the world. If the ford were as light as the z06 it would be faster around a road course because of straightaway acceleration. The reason ford hasn't gone to the ring is because they would not be that as fast.
