402 Short Blocks @ Texas Speed and Performance!!! We have lowered pricing on our 402 LS2 shortblocks in order to be more aggressive in a competitive market. We now offer all the LS2 conversion pieces (Valley cover, front timing cover w/ cam sensor and rear cover), an LS2 Double roller timing set, cam sensor and knock sensor harness extensions. We also are going to preinstall the coolant plugs, oil restrictor and oil galley core plugs as well with each motor before they ship.
The shortblocks are now $4095 plus crating and shipping. We have a few Diamond piston, Scat-H w/ arp bolts, Eagle Crank LS2 402's built, in stock and ready to be shipped.
Updated pricing and various upgrades are availabe on our website so you can see what different options value out to.

Cool... what are the piston specs??? (dish ???)
For the $4,095 starting price, you have your choice of Diamond Racing -2cc flat-top, -10cc dish, and -15cc dish or Mahle Motorsports -12cc dish piston sets. All of the piston sets are officially rated for up to a 200 HP shot of nitrous from the manufacturers. This is a conservative rating, and we've had some customers run up to a 300 HP shot! 
However, for anything past a 200 HP shot, we recommend building a custom piston set from Diamond Racing. It typically takes three weeks to build a custom piston set, but this does allow full control of what is done to the pistons. We can specify ring lands, lowered for boost or nitrous, and dish, dome or flat-top to target a specific compression ratio. Building a custom piston set will add $325 to the price of the engine, but that will also include the upgraded H13 tool steel wrist pins. You can also upgrade to the HD steel top ring set for an additional $95.

We can set the motor up with a dished diamond or mahle piston. If you want us to build you an estimate with everything involved I can do that in a few minutes. To set the motor up for nitrous or forced induction with an off the shelf piston it should be no extra cost. Depending on what head you will be using will help determine which piston to use. Feel free to give us a call if you wanna talk about what all you would need and what kind of cost you would be looking at!!

FYI, we also have some boost-specific short-blocks being assembled using Mahle's severe duty forged pistons! These are the same pistons we're running in our '05 twin turbo 404 cid LS2 Corvette that has made 994 RWHP on a Mustang dyno. Give us a call for specs and pricing.
