Default Different intake on an LS2 in a 2007 Caprice in Kuwait?

So I found this picture

Which is a brand new Caprice in Kuwait and I'm confused by the intake. I thought at first that most of it is plastic covering a normal LS2 intake, but then I saw the breather hose connecting to it behind the TB, and I also noted that it looks like the TB is in front of the accessory drive a lot more than I'm used to.

Does anybody have any more pictures of these (maybe with the plastic dress removed from the top of the engine)? I can't find anything about the export versions of any engines on GMpowertrains website. It's the same car as a Holden Caprice, except it's actually a Chevrolet Caprice in Kuwait.

It's also not the same TB that I'm used to seeing (thats on the LS2/LS7 and new truck engines in america).

Hmm... (right click-save as) wondering if its supercharged? Intake tract looks similar to the Cadillac LC3 motor. Accessory drive belt is also angled high in about the same location as where an S/C driveshaft would come out... very similar to the new truck S/C motor and also where Harrop has their S/C driveshaft. Fun to speculate Cool pic... thanks

Bill

Yeah, by the location of the oil fill and the resivoir next to it (power steering maybe) i'm thinking it isn't a gen3 based engine.

The Cadillac's (Northstar) oil fill is on the drivers side... but I would agree... we could be looking at a Bently, Land Rover, or Bugatti for all we know...

Sure would be nice to see the engine cover off...

Hmmm... bottom left website... Anybody here read Arabic? Saudi Sam, where are you?

No, we're definitely at least looking at a GM...

Yeah, I just thought it was cool the way it split right after the TB into what looks like 2 plenums...I'd like to see something like a Harrop Hurricane but only with 2 TB's on the CF boxes they have rather than 8 TBs...it wouldn't be as cool as 8 TB's, but it'd definitely be simpler to build/maintain. Maybe I'll just make it myself.

Well, one thing is for certain... the GM crew sure has been able to keep a lid on the new supercharged vette motor so far. I've always envisioned that setup to look something like what the Cadillac Northstar LC3 motor has, for hood clearance reasons,... we'll see soon enough I guess.
