Default LS2 and L76 intakes.....question??

unfortunetly i dont have both intakes in front of me to look at so i need a little help.

are the intakes physically the same size on the outside?? are the bolt holes all in the same location??

basically what im tryin to do is find a set of Fuel rails to fit the L76. Nate (nasty performance) makes a set for the LS2 manifold and i was just curious if they would work on the L76.

http://www.nastyperformance.com/FuelSystem.html

i did ask Nate and unfortunetly hes not sure cause he doesnt have a L76 intake to check it.

this may be a long shot but if it works, than we may have an alternative to using the stock fuel rail on the L76 intakes.

LS2 rails will work... That's what I'm using on the L76.

Looks like we both have SVO 42s?
Mine shown is on a LS7 but 42s should be fine on a LS2/7.

SVO 42's. At C5 fuel rail pressure they run higher. Probably closer to 47-48.

The L76 intake kit comes with LS2 rails and LS7 injectors. So you can use aftermarket LS2 rails on the L76 intake. If you want to run aftermarket LS1 injectors, such as See5 and WKMCD, then you'll need Katech's adapter kit.

See5, I seen the pic you posted of your setup and its obvious you have green tops. Is the 36 lb. injectors in your signature a typo?

I dropped back to 36s on 402 as the 42s were running <70%. 36s run ~80%, which I like. The pic above is LS7 427 we just did. I think it will need the 42s.

i bought the bare intake cause i wasnt gonna use the injectors or the throttlebody. if worse came to worse, id just use the stock ls2 rails but im glad the aftermarket ones for the ls2 also fit the l76.
since im doin a Forced induction app im gonna probably run 60# injectors.

thanx again for the responses guys.

Hi All: WKMCD are those GMPP valve covers you used on the L92 heads? Are they painted or powdercoated? Where did you mount the coils, on the firewall? Where you able to run the spark plug wires under the headers away from the tubes? I never saw a regulator setup like that is there a return line used that we don't see in the picture? Sorry for all the questions but I like the clean look of your engine and was just curious. Thanks.

1. I got the valve covers from SDPC
2. Powder coated Candy Apple Red (two step process) The pics don't do them justice.
3. Coils are hidden/mounted using a kit by Phil99vette.
4. Spark plug wires don't run under the headers.
5. It is an Aeromotive regulator. It is a return style system. Fuel feed to the back of the rails and is returned through the regulator that controls pressure and has the return line from there.

Hopefully that answers all.
