Need CNC'ed l92 pics

was wondering if anyone would post some pics of their cnc'ed l92 heads. searched and all i found was a couple of the exhaust ports. wondering how much of the 2 "lumps" can be removed on the intake side and the "lump" on my casting # exhaust ports. is it even worth doing also? thanks in advance

Nick

Your question is premature. Most of the CNC head porters are still trying to optomize their programs for the L92. Ask this question again in six months.

He is exactly right. The only person I know of that is selling the ported L92's at this time is Livernois. Everyone else is having a hard time with the digitalizing of the program, trust me I have been waiting for heads for 2 months now.

Its not that they are having a hard time doing so...Its the fact that they arent responding to changes as well as the LS1/6 stuff. So they are having to be more creative to gain more flow.

With bowl work only and a good valve job, Ive seen 373 @ 650 lift from some Prelim results. They stopped there because its off season for NASCAR, and Drag Racing as well as Dirt Track stuff.

I think that that this is still an art and as such, detailed pictures are on the proprietary side.

I don't know anything about the digitizing problems???? These heads are very easy to probe!

The problem is not the "bumps" the problem is the SSR, and approach..for guys not used to shallow approach heads, they will have a hell-uva time with the l92's or ls7 heads.

right now, the problem is, most guys that bread and butter for race teams are too busy making too much money to worry about the l92's. This will change shortly, as I know of a fair amount of sportsman racers headed the l92/CV way in the next year or 2. This will help the street guys out greatly!!!!

As of now, I only know of a few sets of -92's that are clean and moving good air (390 north). You will see this change greatly by mid-summer. There IS more on the table...and even better things coming down the pipe.

Be patient guys.

Dennis

Yea, i threw my heads on with out touching them. We'll see how that works. I need my car back like two months ago, and i'll wait for all the fine tune porting to get worked out for when i'm ready to do mine :D and until then, i'll get to have untouched ones... running.
