So who's ready for the LSX? I believe that I heard that the LSX is suppost to be released in March, this year, and it should go for anywhere from $1800 to $2500. Anyone have any plans? I like how this block is suppost to be extremely strong, and since the cylinder walls are so thick it can be rebuilt many times, or bored out to a monster. I am thinking that as soon as i get out of college I will go with an LSX block and a pair of assembled L92 heads from SDPC. Who sells LS2 rotating assemblies? My plan, which i am certainly ready to hear debated, is to buy a pretty much OEM LS2 rotating assembly and use the L92 heads and LSX block. This motor should last forever, especially without boost or nitrous. Are there any drawbacks to the L92 head/LSX 6.0 combo? My headers will still fit on L92 heads, correct? And since the valve springs on the L92 heads from SDPC are rated to .650 lift then I should have no problem with majority of the cams available. |

pretty much any sponsor on the right is going to sell aftermarket LS2 rotating assemblies. they are all the same for the LSX family. why you would want to use stock LS2 parts, I have no idea. the crank is fine, but why use the rods and pistons? |

Since the block is supposedly good to 511 cubes, have any companies come out and said they have pistons/rods/etc for a 511 cube motor? Are there pistons out already that would work for a 511 cube LSx? prices? I did a search but came up short.... |

Probably. The engine decks are 90' to each other, so as the decks increase in height they also increase in width. |

The reason i was considering stock ls2 internals was because all the stroker kits that i found were almost $4000. If there's a budget rotating assembly out there then please let me know. I dont even know what a oem ls2 kit would cost or where i could get one. I really just want to take advantage of the cheap L92 heads, and the l76 intake, and a strong block that would last for a long long time. |

The write up in GM High tech said that you could take the LS2 out of your vette, take all the interanals out, and put them over into this block. Doesnt it start out as a 3.999 bore? |

LSX block isnt really for a budget street build |
