no tach and car won't run

Car is throughing a p0343 cam sensor input high code. I read somewhere that guys were having problems with timing chain sprockets I have a slp double roller you think this is the problem

take a test light to the connector at the sensor and the PCM harness to see if you have a grounded the reference or signal

I had the same problem but don't remember the "P" code that went with it. it did say something about CAM sensor. any way i have LS1 edit and went into the CAM sensor table and swithced it to "Y" mode from "X" mode. then my Tach started to work again.
