69 Camaro LS7, It's alive

Hey guys, thought I'd post a few pics of my 69 Camaro project. Learned a lot hanging around the forum. Just got it fired last tuesday. Drove it to a show downtown on wed. nite. Ls7 crate motor from SDPC with a Katech Torquer cam, valve covers and coil relocation kit. ATS supplied the headers, motor mounts, oil pan, crossmember, clutch kit,and T56 trans. Oil tank is from Peterson. I'm using a vette front drive untill the Sidewinder unit is available from Ats so I can hang my AC compressor. I have the material here to fab an intake tube to move the filter and MAF into the fenderwell area.

NC98Z Jun 25, 2007 06:24 PM

To hell with the next generation Camaro somebody please put these back on the car lot. I'll take a NBM with silver metallic stripes. My old 69 was grey primer but it had the old BB 427 with the rectangular port heads and the stock Holley aluminum intake with a C427X stamped on the runners. But yours is a friggin work of art dude. That motor looks awesome between thoses fenderwells. You might have to fabb up a set of thoses HI Tech motor restrainers I use to use. You can even get the log chain chromed!

See5 Jun 25, 2007 08:26 PM

Elegant!

Must handle well with the lightweight engine.

What are you using for engine control? Electronics?
