6.2 RPO L92 for DD/occaisional track days?

Default 6.2 RPO L92 for DD/occaisional track days?

Hi All,

I've got a car I use as a DD that I'm prepping for occasional road track days. Currently I'm running a stock LS6. I have been looking at an LS3/L92 built longblocks, also considering an RPO L92 (escalade) pullout motor with cam and l76 intake. I haven't found much about how these bottom ends would hold up, but the thought is a 230-ish duration cam, long tubes, and an L76 intake on the otherwise stock motor. suggestions?

well i think things are pretty much just like all other LSx stuff, stock bottom ends take a beating.

i would think your going to be alright. do a ported LS6 pump double roller chain, better springs and all that, you should be good.

I should also mention I plan to run with an LS1 computer, so I know I'll need to change the reluctor wheel. Isn't there some cam timing hardware that would need to be removed as well?

that i am unsure of. i know when i just had my 07 short block done, i had them change to the 24x. other than that i have a 6.0L block. so i am unsure of the 6.2L differeces.

Another question is how big of Cam you can run in the 6.2L L92 without clearance issues... Anyone?
