Default *Picture + Information* TTP Built 377ci Warhawk Motor

I will be keeping this thread updated. We are building a Warhawk based 377ci low-compression motor right now. I haven't seen much press about this awesome block on here, so I figured I'd share some experiences about the block and keep a nice picture thread updated.

We have a lot of non-stocking items going into this motor that a few companies contributed to. Thanks to World Products, Callies Performance, JE Pistons, GMPP.

This is being slapped into a 2002 EB Z06.

Warhawk Based 377ci Motor
- 4.070" Bore Custom JE Pistons -28cc w/ Thermal Barrier Coating
- Upgraded Steel Wristpins, Side Skirts.
- 3.625" Callies Racemaster Crankshaft
- Oliver 6.125" Billet Connecting Rods

I am just curious, but why would you build a small cubic inch motor out of it when it would cost zero more to build a 427"+ cube motor?

The only possible reason would be turbo/blower limitation in a class to approx a 88-91mm or smaller power adder...other than that cant think of one possible reason.

More cylinder wall thickness, don't want to spool the turbos too quickly, etc.

SoCal: There are numerous reasons for this build. I will go further into detail about it at a later time, but the stability of the short stroke along with class considerations sums it up for the customer.

We'll be porting the top end combination later today. GMPP LS7 Carb Style Intake w/ Warhawk LS7X Heads both port/polished in-house.

My question is how did you get the ls7x heads to fit on a 4.07 bore?? I know of a couple of ways to make it happen, adn I am just curious as to how you did it. Also, are you using the standard size valves or a custom set??

Gorgeous project, can't wait for results!!

That looks super sweet... I'd like to have that with a 4.125" bore, 4" stroke, LS1X World heads. We'll talk on dyno day, I'll be there early.

Stangs Bane: Nothing too secret here. We used the standard size set, .700 lift spring set 1.550 seat.

Humm... last time i checked the Warhawk LS7x heads flow 350cfm "AS CAST"....don't see that very often.

With a little porting work these heads could very well flow upwards of 400cfm.

a "little" porting doesnt add 50 cfm.... a max effort job does.

I personally cant see why youd go under 4.125" bore on this setup unless you were on a restricted turbo size trying to keep the cubes down to maximize the turbo.
