Default Help me choose a cam for my LS3

I have a 2008 LS3 Corvette A6 w/ 2.73 axle. My only mod now is B&B bullets.

I want a cam install and some bolt ons only. I plan to never track the car, its not a daily driver, mainly just for joyriding. I want it to sound like a beast with lopey choppier idle, but not too extreme, I want to know that it is cammed. I want a cam install with longevity in mind, want to keep good mpg. I want to keep the heads stock, stock intake manifold, stock compression, no flycutting. And I do not want gears or torque converter. I will have cai, AR headers, ported stock throttle body, t-stat, tune, and maybe under drive pulley.
It dont matter if rwhp is 440 or 480.

Cam choices with dual springs/pushrods are
VRX2 - 224/228 .581/.588 114
VRX3 - 226/228 .585/.588 114
VRX4 - 228/230 .588/.592 112-114
VRX5 - 236/238 .601/.605 113
228/232 .588/.595 114
232/234 .595/.598 113

a bigger split like a 227/235?

Should I ground advance any?

What have you guys had experience with? Satisfied with it? What specs will work best for me? Thanks in advance.

I think you would be happy with the VRX5. It's a very low to mid range cam for your displacement. You may need a torque converter for all of those cams just so the car won't die out when you're at a stop and in gear. It's all in the tuning.

The very last one, a 227/235 is what I've been recommending to a lot of LS3 enthusiasts. Have it ground on a 114LSA with 2 degrees of advance. Totally badass cam.
