That power level is about what I was expecting. The corvette is light, so I be still feels pretty darn powerful. I'm still in love with the LS7.

The c7 weighs in about 90-100lbs heavier than a base c6 i do believe. The c6 being right at 3200 and the c7 around 3300.

dont quote me but i think the base C7 uses a 12.5" or 13" front rotor while the Z51 uses a 13.5 or 14" front rotor with the correct size calipers for each. iow: swap worth for older cars me thinks.

looks like a 4 piston:

Did they have to call it LT-1? Couldn't give it a new name to avoid confusion?

From a special I saw on TV, auto manufactures can't under estimate the power of their engine like suspected in the distant past. They actually have people come out and certify/verify the engines performance. The show actually was at the GM testing center. I will have to find it on the web.

I am wanting to see what the new truck 6.2 dynos. It is rated with the same torque but is down 40 horsepower but is also 3000 dollars less from GM.

Did you order it with the special 3lt interior? The seats look high quality. Did you go with the competition seats option?

So question

Is 5th gear (for the new 7 speed) the gear you reach top speed in and the closest one for a 1:1 ratio for doing the dyno?

TurbopigB4C Oct 5, 2013 10:29 PM

4th is still 1:1 its a triple overdrive magazines have said 30 mpg hwy with them.
