Default [VR] Vengeance Racing builds N/A LT1 Stingray making 538rwhp and heading to Cali!!!

A few months ago we received a call from a client in Huntington Beach, California. He stated that he has been considering a building his C7 Stingray and did not trust anyone else in the country to build his vehicle except for Vengeance Racing. We began discussing his goals and how he would be utilizing his car to determine the best package to meet his goals. The customer explained that he wanted a naturally-aspirated build combination to exceed the 500rwhp mark and would be using the car primarily on the street, but wanted to also compete in some of the local top-speed events. Knowing that we had a few challenges ahead of us on the build including having to use 91 octane fuel on the pump gas tune, we quickly went to work on modifying our Stage IV N/A package to better suit the customer’s needs.

A few months later our client put his beautiful white C7 Stingray on a transport truck and she made her way to Georgia. The game plan was fairly simple and both the shop and our client were excited to get started. The final build list landed on the following:

· Halltech Stinger-R Cold Air Induction

· Vengeance Racing CNC Ported LT1 Cylinder Heads

· Vengeance Racing Cam Kit plus with Stage III LT1 Camshaft Kit

· Kooks 1 7/8” Longtube Headers and X pipe

· VR Ported MSD Airforce 102mm Intake Manifold

· Circle D 8L90E Pro Series torque converter

· Vengeance Racing Flex Fuel Sensor Kit for E85 Tuning

The vehicle was delivered on a full tank of California 91 octane fuel so that we could tune the vehicle on the fuel that was available to him before switching over to E85. The baseline on the car landed in the high 300rwhp range typical of these vehicles with the automatic transmissions. Our technician laid out the parts for the build in his area and was able to complete the total build in just over three business days which included a complete engine removal, teardown to a shortblock, and back together again with the new parts installed.

With the build complete it was time to hand the key over to our tuner who started on the 91 octane pump gas. Being quite a bit more conservative than we are used to due to the lack of octane, this combination through the aftermarket torque converter still made a very strong 509rhwp and 427rwtq. This was a huge gain over the stock number and with a full fuel swap it was time to make a run on E85. On E85 the combination laid down a massive 538rwhp and 465rwtq with a very nice power and torque curve suitable for the customer’s usage of the car. Our client was thrilled with the results and couldn’t wait to get his vehicle back. With the final tuning complete and the build wrapped up it was time to pack her up and head back home to destroy the streets of California, Vengeance Racing style!

Those are 5.3 numbers. If corvette c7 are 300rwhp then my 07 Yukon Denali would be running right next an c7 on an 70 roll on the highway. I've seen several videos of stock c7 gapping supercharged mustangs
