Intake compatibility- L84, LT4, and LT1 Is there a source showing what components are interchangeable on the new Direct Injection engines? Will the LT4 supercharger bolt on to a 5.3 L84? Will the LT1 intake bolt on a 5.3 L84? I have not found much in terms of what items can be swapped. |
Yes, the LT1 manifold will fit on a L83 (5.3). It is a popular upgrade on these new LT's. I have a 2014 Silverado with full bolt ons. Next upgrade will be the L86 intake manifold and throttle body though. The Lt1 intake requires either a pulley change or throttle body bracket to reroute the angle since the LT1 snout points down, which is right in the way of the belt pattern on the truck accessory |
Holley offers a wedge to alter the TB |
Supercharger will not. You need adapters. I’m pretty sure the head bolt pattern is different on the LT4 heads vs the Lt1 and truck motors. As for L83/4/6/7 these motors in 2019 only got the upgraded DOD so the intakes are interchangeable still. Lt1 will bolt right up. Check out my build thread, i stuck One on my l86. Search Swaptime on YouTube. He has a good video in regards to fitting and selecting the correct lt4 blower on a 5.3. |

Tried looking at your build but couldn’t find it. |
yes it will. You need to flip the TB and grind down the alternator and TB motor housing a little and it will fit. |

Will the computer adjust accordingly or would I absolutely need a tune to see any improvements? My truck is still under warranty but if I can swap and leave stock tune I’ll do it now and just tune it after warranty comes close to ending and plan on doing a cam swap and dod/afm delete along with LT headers. |
