I am trying to figure out what kind of shifter I have in my 99 Trans AM. Most after market shifters have two screws to attach to the base of the shifter, but mine is a sold piece that attaches to the base of the transmission. can any one help me out on what i need to do to get a shorter shift lever.

I created this club a couple years ago for the die hard Trans Am enthusiast, doesn't have to be a 9 sec trailer queen, all 'birds are welcome - v6/v8, doesn't matter, daily driver/show car, again doesn't matter. Our members know our cars aren't a stepping stone for "something better" ie: the Vette we cant afford. We love them for what they truly are, there are no costs to join, all that is required is a love for one of Pontiac's greatest muscle cars.
