My Camaro has the same exhaust as Ethanws6...But my first true duals that were on my ta were lt's, flowmaster 1-chambers, h-pipe, over the axle-didnt sound that good. So I switched it to lt's x-pipe, dynomax bullets, over the axle. That I liked and had up until the fire. Wizard, I would recommend putting the lt's and ory on with your flowmaster catback and see how it sounds. I wouldnt suggest running it over the axle with nothing because I have heard that on stock ls1's and its not that great kinda like a drone with no tone. When you get a big cam then its a different story

I have quick question about my rear end. I don't have traction control, just abs, but will a rear end with traction control work in my car? I took my car out yesterday and beat the hell out of it to see what is going to break and guess what? lol It's not broke but the humming got considerably louder and it's driving me nuts. Also it seems to want to "squat" to the right rear when shifting hard. So rearend then exhaust. Mine would be called a 3 channel? traction control is 4 channel? I posted this in the newbie section, but figured you guys seem to really know these cars so any help would be great. I'm not looking to upgrade to a 9 inch or a 12 bolt, just stock, I found one locally for 350 bucks and it has 50k miles on it.

@wizard- for your exhaust, it sounds like you need an electronic cutout my friend...not sure about your rear though, ill let someone else chime in on that

Wizard I know u said u were looking to swap for another stock rear. But its really worth going to a nice 10 bolt or 12. Because before you know it you will b swapping again. Even if ur at stock HP levels. But to answer your question. Yes a traction control rear end should work. As far as I can remember off the top of my head

And is your car 6 speed? I'm guessing it is. Then I wouldn't go near a stock rear. And as for your exhaust, get yourself a set of headers and a catless y pipe. you will b thrilled. Its like driving a completely different car. I was really surprised how much louder my car was from just headers and y-pipe. Can't guarentee you the same results bc my catback(corsa) is pretty damn loud. But I can guarentee a significant difference. I will see if I can post a link with my idle clip. Long post. Link didn't work for me. Final decision on the exhaust is LT's, ORY, connected to my flowmaster cat back. But for the rear, stay away from another stock one huh? Well I'm looking at dollars here, so how much you think to get a decent 12 bolt, and is there one that bolts right in or do you have to modify? I found a stock 10 bolt with an auburn posi and 4.10 gears, no good? Oh and yes it's a 6 speed.

A built 10 bolt would be sufficient depending on your Power goals. if ur plannin to stay under 500 ponies a built ten would do. As long as u stay away from the drag radials and slicks. They make 12 bolts and 9 inc that are direct bolt in. But prices are a little higher. For a complete 9 its about 2 g. you can use a 4 channel in a 3 channel car but the abs wont work right and the abs light will stay on. if i were you id find a used 9in of 12 bolt, especially being a m6 car
