The 6.0 liter in the G8 and Caprice

An all aluminum 6.0 block, same as LS2?

Crank, rod and pistons as LS2?

LS3 heads? Same compression?

Unique intake manifold which is not LS3 or L99?

Anything else to add?

An all aluminum 6.0 block, same as LS2? Technically it's an L76 block, but I believe they are about the same

Crank, rod and pistons as LS2? Pistons are different, crank has a 58x reluctor instead of 24x

LS3 heads? Same compression? Technically L92 heads that come with solid valves not hollow, and lower compression than the LS2

Unique intake manifold which is not LS3 or L99? It's the same intake as all other rectangular 6.2s found in cars (truck intake is different I believe)

Anything else to add? There are lots of differences, cam, lifters, springs, oil pump. Really the only thing that's the same is the block and rods and maybe the timing chaing.
See answers above.

Thanks. I searched around a bit on the web. Did not know if it was the same as the G8 GT engine.

Did not know if it was the same as the G8 GT engine.
LS2s only came in GTOs, SSRs, Corvettes and Trailblazers and those all had 243 cathedral heads (or 799). All other aluminum 6.0s are this oddball L76 engine with the square port heads. Basically it was just the continuation of the 6.0 after 07 when the LS2 was killed but for cars that did not get the 6.2 (only certain parts).
