Huge thanks!
We didn't decide to race until we actually got there so came a little under prepared (helmet). Then we got there and had major issues with a valve stem (had it changed 3 different times and still having issues with it) that left us stranded once and limped back to the track the other time.
It might as well be best friends/family at the track, anybody will do whatever they can to help someone out!
Got to put a ton of faces with screen names that I have met over the years... Awesome weekend!!!
Now back to the real world where I don't see 400+Rwhp LS powered cars every 20 cars in town.
I got to watch all the racing last year.. This year we participated and got to only watch a few select passes, missed the wheel stand!
We will be way more prepared next year for sure.
I actually enjoy riding around town and stopped in Wal Mart, restaurants, etc and BSing with all the other LS guys that are hanging out. It isn't every day you see that many high Rwhp LS cars running around in the drag setup.
Yep, Phil is right... Ricky's car he just bought a few weeks ago... We made a few passes on Friday and was turning 12.7-12.8s. We literally pulled in, unloaded everything in about 3 minutes, went and made passes.
He was going to try to hit the 13.00 bracket but the next day we loaded the car down with everything we brought with us and even with a 1/4 tank the cooler air and the car not being so hot it ended up running a 12.5... IIRC he ended at a 12.9 letting off the 2nd/3rd passes, he got close!
He has a 370 on the way from TMS, very close build to what I'm doing.. Few changes here and there but it should be pretty decent.
We hope to have his 370 setup running in about 3 months.
