I think grudge racing at night is a great idea. It will keep the shenanigans down on the streets of BG. I have attended LSfest 4-5 times now and there is always street action somewhere, so taking it to the track is a fantastic idea.
I don't recall the official shut down time in the evening, but I say give people a 2 hour brake to get dinner, or whatever, then open up the lanes (no prep), and let people set up races, RSD style.
I'll line up with any NA 5.3L car for $100....let's go...
I know my buddy TJ is down for whatever...LOL

Cool thanks for the info. I'd love to make it out this year but bracket racing is lol anymore. I'd probably still do it tho. Would be cool if there was a heads up N/A class with different weights requirements based on engine size/aftermarket heads/ported heads/ injected or carb etc etc.

I just noticed that the truck class is there for the lsfest west race in vegas.
Got what I have been asking for, now to see if I can be ready by may??? It's gonna be a stretch.
I assume the class will continue to the original lsfest race later in the year right?

This totally sucks. I've been begging for something like this for years now.......it finally happens and I can't make it. My luck, there will be a **** turnout for the heads up truck stuff and it'll be put back on the shelf.
Okay, done crying now.

John, if you could get some night time grudge racing set up, maybe those with stick cars that have been wanting a stick class could create there own side race during that time. To make it interesting each person could put $20 into a pot and the 1st and 2nd place guys could split it 60/40 or 70/30 or whatever. Heads up, no special transmissions (cut gears etc.), red light/cross center line = DQ, no break out or dial in. Rounds could be paired up by pulling numbers so no one would know who they might go against.

Well, if we can get the Shop Rag back together, and the Short Bus tow rig back together, we have our tickets bought and plan on entering both the Street King and Rumble classes and I'll drive one class and Joe will drive the other.
New front brakes.

Trans rebuild and new converter.

New adjustable 4 link bars, and sway bar.

Joe is over at the shop right now rebuilding the rear end on the Short Bus. It started out as a brake rebuild job because we blew a brake line. As things usually turn out, when you start looking, more and more stuff needs done so it will be a thrash again just like last year.
Eventually, this will be converted to a redneck motorhome for the track, but for now it's just a tow rig with provisions for an air mattress. 6.5 liter turbo diesel has plenty of power to pull the trailer full of gear up hills.
