Default UK guys I need some help

Im in the USAF at RAF Mildenhall. Anyway while in Greece I crashed my SS the only reason I bought it back was because it was a 1 of 80 car for 2001. Could any of you guys point me in the right direction of where I can get my car repaired at? Or any "hook ups" would be greatly appreciated. In exchange I will let you use my HP tuners it will work on a 2001 and 2002 F body since that is what I have. Plus it would be a great chance for me to meet other enthusiast from the UK. I could also save you guys some cash on shipping and stuff. PM me or email me at rbisarra@yahoo.com. I need to get this car repaired so I can install my H/C set up. Thanks --Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Sorry to hear your SS was involved in a crash... hopefully no one was injured.
Regarding places to get it fixed, what type of damage did it sustain? Depending on the damage, there are a few places I can suggest.

That should work. I can get a entire front clip from the states so parts should not be a problem for the shop that is going to repair it. Also I will do as much as I can to help the shop out. I can completely strip the car for the shop to cut time down to a minimal. So all he will have is a roller shell. Let me know! Thanks!

Hi,

OK, well the damage is a little bigger than I thought, but I suppose thats what happens when a car hits a pole. As you say however, a car can be fixed.... sorry to hear of your earlier loss.

I had a small amount of damage on my 2000 SS and I took it to a company called Gladwins. This is the company my insurance company advised, as did several other UK Specialist insurance companies I called, asking them for US car repair centers in the area. The shop did a great job. The only problem with this company, is to make sure you use their head office site... I went for a minor touch up (respray) on my fron bumper / hood, following some stone chips and accidently went to another site... the workmanship was nowhere near as good. OK, so I suggest Gladwins which is located not too far from you (Aprox 35 to 40 miles) at:

51 Church Rd
Warboys
Huntingdon
Cambridgeshire
PE28 2RL
tel 01487 822427
fax 01487 823142
http://www.gladwins.com

Click on locations then warboys for the head office...

They have done lots of different US cars, due to guys and girls from the old (or still active?) Alconbury and of course Mildenhall and Lakenheath etc. If you swing by, chances are you'll see someones vette all banged up.
If you want, pick up a copy of Classic American from a local UK shop like WH Smith, they have a few adverts in the classified for insurance companies, you can give them a call for further recommendations, if you wish.
