Default ACW Nationals

Thanks for that Paul I will let you know when I get my Flowmmaster fitted.
Not a bad days racing everything did not go quite to plan. I couldn't get the Nitrous to work although on the way to the track I ran the Nitrous with a 75 shot and the Gtech for a 1/4 mile and got 12.69 at 115mph.

Now I know Gtech times are not that popular on here but I ran the Gtech on 2 of my drag strip runs and it proved to be within .2 of a second on E/T(it reads a little fast) and it seems to read a little high on the mph about +5mph.

So had the Nitrous solonoid fired properly I would have run a 12.

But I am happy with 3 solid 13.37,13.37 and 13.36 at 102mph which is what you would expect my A4 2.73 geared LS1 to run with the TCI3000 stall fitted.

And I raced a highly modified LT1 94 Trans Am that has a surpercharger and a number of other mods and I beat him 13.37 to 13.45 but I did hole shot him aswell .261 to his .4 reaction time.

I tested the Nitrous system in the pits and found the Nitrous solonoid is either blocked or faulty. I am not running a Nitrous filter so I either need a new Nitrous solonoid and or a filter.

It's always the same I have test fired the Nitous about 5 times on the street since I fitted it but it had to play up at the track!

Never mind a good days racing anyway!

Yes Paul I know him, his name is Duncan and his car appeared in the ACW magazine a couple of years ago when they also covered modding LT1 and LS1's with Chris Jenkins 93 Z28 and Ray Comer's 99 Z28 Camaro's

I always talk to any of the guys running LT1's or LS1's He was not to pleased when I beat him mostly with a hole shot 13.37 to his 13.45 but .261 to his .4 reaction time. He said lets go again cause he bogged down, but I think that was the best time I saw him run. He has had 12.9 with his Nitrous running.

When we got to the front he was called froward and had to race Richard Ross who I have also got to know through drag racing and Richard has a ZR1 Vett and ran his best run to date of 11.78 against Duncan's 14.0

I found my Nirous problem to be either a blocked or faulty Nitrous solonoid. So I will have to wait for 12's for a while longer!

Hey Paul I looked on the ukstreet racers web site for the results from ACW SRS2 meet and Duncan's timein the Trans Am of 13.45 was his best of the weekend when I beat him!

And he claimed he bogged! all his other runs were 14,s

I had to do I did a Kill story on here and the guys cant believe a Vortech surcharged car can be so slow!

He has a 12.9 in SRS1 but that was with the 50shot nitrous!

I saw him race a lot last year and 13.4 was about his best then too!

My friend's 95TA A4 went from 13.1 to 12.6 with a converter swap... And turned up it went 11.6@121.

If you change converters you probably will have to adjust your shift points, car might be shifting a bit low. You should be able to hit 12's with a converter, good shift points, airbox.

I drove a 2000 Formy with cutout, airbox, FTRA, to a 12.85@110mph in great air once. I drove a similarly setup up 2000 TA to a 13.03.
