Help Me Find Oil Filter Comparisons? Does anyone know of any studies (example Popular Mechanics) on oil filters that compare brand names to each other? Read some threads on Fram oil filters -- did anyone read any studies on comparison between brand name oil filters or are the opinions on Fram just from personal experience? I've always used Fram and never had any problems. Companies do change materials and qualities of their products. I am always eager to learn of any changes or updates in their products. Any suggestions will be appreciated

There's a guy who goes by "Patman" who has done a
lot of oil analysis and maybe that extends to filters.
Might try a compound search (like "filter" for subject
and "patman" for user), and see what turns up.
I've seen a lot of opinions that the "K&N Gold" is one
of the better ones, one's on my car now (priced like
gold plated, but what the hell). I've usually stuck with
AC/Delco on my GM vehicles and never had a problem.
